The centre and your contacts

This website presents the services of Centre de prélèvements du Viaduc, at Boulevard Eisenhower 25, 7500 Tournai, Belgium.

For questions about the website or your personal data: cbsoins@cbsoins.com.

Why do we use your data?

Your data is used to organise appointments, send necessary confirmations and reminders, manage your patient account and support your care at the centre. You do not need an account to book.

Handling your appointment request and account forms part of providing the service you request. Care, patient records and billing are also subject to obligations applicable to the centre. Protecting accounts and the website serves a legitimate security interest. Where processing requires your consent, it is requested separately.

Information in your patient record is not used for advertising.

What information is used?

Depending on how you use the service: name, date of birth, telephone number, email address, postal address, preferred language and appointment history. Required fields are marked on the forms. Without this information, the relevant request cannot be completed online.

Staff may add the prescribing doctor, national register number and notes needed for your care. Prescriptions and laboratory results are not uploaded to this website.

Connection and security information, such as IP addresses and browser details, may be recorded to protect accounts and the service.

Who can access your data?

Authorised centre staff access the information needed for their duties. Service providers support hosting, maintenance and the sending of service emails.

Passwords are protected. Sensitive patient information is encrypted, and certain staff actions are logged so they can be reviewed.

Cookies and signing in

Necessary cookies keep you signed in to the patient or staff area. They are not used for advertising.

The website statistics described below do not use cookies to track individual visitors.

Website statistics

The website counts homepage views and clicks on booking, telephone, directions and document links. These counters group information by hour, language, device category and source category without identifying visitors.

They do not retain IP addresses, visitor identifiers, patient data or individual browsing histories. Counters are kept for 400 days. Browser preferences requesting not to be tracked are respected.

Hosting and service emails

The website and its database are hosted in Europe. Email delivery providers receive email addresses and the content of messages needed for the service.

Emails are sent from Europe. However, the provider stores message content and delivery logs in the United States. Contractual safeguards cover these transfers; you can ask the centre for details.

Emails contain practical information about your account or appointments, without laboratory results or notes from your patient record.

Retention and account deletion

Account data remains linked to your patient area while your account exists. Patient records and appointment data may be retained after account deletion according to care needs and obligations applicable to the centre.

Deleting your account cancels future appointments and removes access to the patient area. It does not automatically erase the entire record held by the centre. You may separately request a review of an erasure request; some information may need to be retained.

Applicable retention periods depend on the type of information and its connection to care or billing. Contact the centre to find out which periods apply to your record.

Your rights and requests

You may request access to and correction of your data and, where the conditions are met, erasure, restriction, portability or object to certain processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it for the future.

Your patient area lets you update your contact details, download your account and appointment data and delete your account. Contact the centre for a complete copy of your patient record.

To exercise your rights or ask about data retention, write to cbsoins@cbsoins.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority.
